Heard a customer at the coffee shop say they only buy from places with a real story

I was grabbing a coffee yesterday at Palace Coffee on Georgia, and the person in front of me was telling the barista they picked our local bakery over a chain because they saw the owner's 'why we started' post on Instagram. It hit me that my plumbing company's website just has services and prices. I never put up anything about why I started the crew here in Amarillo. Has anyone else added a simple 'our story' page and seen it make a difference for their small business?

Oh man, that's so true. I mean, my plumber's bio is just "licensed since 2004." Maybe we all need to start faking a cool origin story.

Totally get that. It's wild how much people care about the "why" now. You see it everywhere, from the coffee they drink to the apps they download. That human connection cuts through all the noise online. For a local service like plumbing, your story is your biggest edge over a big anonymous company. A simple page about starting up in Amarillo gives folks a real person to trust before they even call.
