Hit $5k in monthly revenue and felt like I was failing at first
I run a small lawn care business here in Amarillo and finally crossed $5k in monthly revenue last month. I kept hearing people say that's when you 'make it' but honestly I was shocked at how much overhead eats into that number. Between fuel, equipment maintenance, and insurance I barely pocketed $1,200. Am I the only one who hit a milestone and realized the profit margin was way thinner than expected?

It's like that with everything these days though honestly. People see the top line number and think you're rolling in it but they don't see the real story underneath. I think we've all been sold this idea that hitting some revenue target means instant success when really it's just the start of figuring out where all the money actually goes. It's the same with houses or cars or whatever everyone posts the shiny parts but nobody shows the repair bills and the insurance payments. You're not alone in this its just one of those things nobody warns you about until you're already in it. Keep grinding man the profit side will catch up as you dial in your operations.
