Just realized I was pricing my handmade candles all wrong after a customer comment
A lady at the Canyon Farmers Market said my $8 tapers were too cheap for the work I put in, and she was the 4th person this month to say that. How do you all figure out fair pricing for handcrafted goods without scaring off customers?

Funny how that works - the same logic applies to everything from haircuts to car repairs. Cheap prices just make people wonder what you're hiding.

Started out thinking the same way you did, honestly. Then a potter at a craft fair broke it down for me - she said cheap prices actually make people suspicious of quality, not grateful. Changed my whole approach once I tried bumping things up a notch.
