Just realized that free local Facebook group I joined actually brought in real customers

I run a small pressure washing side gig here in Amarillo and for months I ignored those "Amarillo Community" Facebook groups thinking they were just full of spam and drama. Finally posted a before/after pic of a driveway I did off Western Street last month and got 5 inquiries within 2 hours. One of those turned into a $400 job for a whole house wash. Has anyone else had success with those neighborhood groups or was this just a lucky break?

That is such a smart move. It really is interesting how we all kind of assume those groups are just for lost pets and angry rants, but people actually pay attention to local recommendations there. Think about it - we scroll past national ads all day but if a neighbor posts a clean driveway, it feels way more trustworthy somehow. Have you tried posting in any of the hyper-local pages for just your side of town?

Wait, you mean the ones for like 3 streets and a gas station?
