Lost $300 on that paid ad agency last spring... still stings

I hired a local marketing agency to run Facebook ads for my tree service back in April. They promised me 50 leads a month and I paid them $300 upfront plus ad spend. After 6 weeks I had gotten exactly 3 calls, and one was my mom asking about trimming her rosebush. They kept saying to give it more time and tweak the targeting, but I never saw any real change. Has anyone else had better luck with a different agency in Amarillo, or should I just learn to do the ads myself?

Same thing happened to me with my lawn crew. Total scam.
