Yeah, that part about "specific advice about reaching customers right here in town" is so true. My buddy runs a food truck and was stuck for months. He went to some free thing at our library, just a meet-up for local owners. Someone there told him exactly which neighborhood Facebook groups actually get orders and which ones are just full of complaints. Changed his whole week.

Local groups are gold for that kind of tip. @the_alice is right about needing the street-level map, because what works in one town's group flops in another. Your buddy finding the right one is the whole game.
