Spent 3 hours trying to update my business listing on Google

Last Tuesday I finally decided to fix some old info on my shop's Google listing. Hours closed, wrong phone number, the whole thing. Figured it'd be a quick 10 minute job. Three hours later I was still clicking through verification codes and support pages. Has anyone else had a simple update turn into a whole afternoon project?

Used to think it was simple too, but yeah that whole process is ridiculous.

Three hours sounds about right honestly, I've been through it more times than I care to count. Google's verification loop is a nightmare, and their support barely helps. But here's the thing, once you get it done and verified the first time, future updates take about five minutes. The initial pain is bad, but it's not like you have to repeat that whole process every time you change a phone number. So yeah, it sucks, but it's a one time beatdown.
