Tried the new coffee spot on 6th Street and their setup made me think

I stopped in for a cup yesterday morning and the whole place was dead quiet. The barista was just on her phone behind the counter. I counted maybe two other customers in the hour I was there. It's a nice space, but it felt like they opened without any real plan to get people in the door. Has anyone else seen a new business open with zero buzz and actually make it?

That spot on 6th probably just had a slow Tuesday. Most places take a few months to find their crowd.

Maybe try a soft opening next time to work out the kinks first.

My buddy opened a bike repair shop with no real opening day. Took almost a year before people even knew it was there. He's doing okay now, but it was rough.
