Why does nobody talk about the cost of a good commercial vacuum?

I finally bought a real one for my shop floor after my cheap one died, cost about $800. The difference in dust control and how much longer it runs is insane, saved me so much cleaning time. What's the best local spot for service on these things?

My old apartment had these awful low pile carpets that ate vacuums for breakfast. I went through three cheap ones in two years before I caved and got a refurbished Kirby from a pawn shop for like 300 bucks. Thing weighed a ton but it outlived my lease, lmao. The motor sounded like a jet engine but it actually got the dirt out. I still miss that beast sometimes.

Kirbys are absolute tanks, @iris_jones89! I read they used to have a lifetime warranty on the motor.

Oh man, that jet engine sound is the sound of a job getting done! My grandma had one of those and you're right, it was like pushing a small car around the house. But you could eat off her floors after she used it... nothing else really compares.
