Blew through Naruto fillers in 2 weeks and finally get what everyone meant

I overheard two guys at the comic shop near my place arguing about skipping fillers and I was like naw I gotta see everything. So I sat through 90+ episodes of flashbacks and side missions and honestly now I feel like I wasted a bunch of time but also kinda enjoyed the ride. Anyone else stick through filler arcs and regret it or was it worth it for you?

My brain cells sent a cease and desist letter, but the post office lost it (classic). I think they went on strike halfway through mile 15.
