Can we talk about dropping $75 on a single anime volume from a con booth?
Two weeks ago at Anime Expo I paid $75 for one hardcover art book from a small booth in the dealer hall. The seller said it was a con exclusive and would never be printed again, so I handed over the cash without even checking my phone. Got home and found the exact same book on the publisher's site for $28 with free shipping. I felt like a total sucker and I'm not going to pretend I didn't. The "exclusive" sticker turned out to be a regular edition they just put a label on. Has anybody else gotten burned at a con booth like this, or am I just bad at this?
