Can we talk about how anime forum arguments have changed?

Back around 2010, I remember a huge debate on a forum about whether 'Naruto' or 'Bleach' had better filler arcs, and it was just pages of people typing paragraphs. Now, on the same site, those threads are mostly just memes and short reaction gifs. I think it happened when image hosting got way easier and everyone started using Discord for the long talks. Does anyone else miss those old text-heavy breakdowns, or is it just me?
