Convention floor changed my mind about sub vs dub

Went to Anime NYC last weekend and caught a panel where they showed the same scene in both tracks. I always said subs all the way, but hearing the dub cast explain their voice direction and timing made me realize the English version adds its own layer. Now I actually watch both for big fight scenes, anyone else switch sides after hearing the actors talk about the process?
