Finally got my friend to watch 'Vinland Saga' after a year of asking

We were just hanging out at his place last weekend, and he finally gave in and watched the first two episodes with me... He got totally quiet during Thorfinn's first big fight scene and just said 'Okay, you were right, this is incredible.' It felt like a huge win after all my failed attempts. Anyone else have a show that took forever to get someone to try?

Ha, I was the same with Attack on Titan. Thought it looked way too over the top at first. My brother wore me down and now it's one of my favorite shows ever.

Totally get that, @abbychen. I almost skipped it because the giant naked titans looked so silly in the ads. My friend made me watch the first episode and I was hooked by the end. The scene where Eren plugs the hole in the wall completely changed my mind. The show just gets deeper and more wild from there.
