Finally noticed how everyone mispronounces 'Kamehameha' in English dubs

I caught a clip from the old Funimation dub where they say 'KAH-may-hah-MAY-ha' instead of the proper 'ka-MEH-ha-MEH-ha' and it's bugged me for three straight days now, has anyone else picked up on this or am I just being too picky about the beat?

Oh man, honestly this has been living in my head rent free ever since I first noticed it. I used to think I was being super picky too, but once you hear the correct beat from the original Japanese, you can't unhear how wrong the English version sounds. What finally made me stop stressing about it was just accepting that dubs always take liberties, and the actors probably had no idea about the proper pronunciation back then. Tbh though, I still cringe a little every time I hear someone say it the Funimation way.

Saw a video recently that broke down the original Japanese syllable timing vs the dub, and it was wild how much the English version scrambles the beat structure. Makes you wonder if the voice director even listened to the original audio before recording, @kai_brown23. Once you know what's happening under the hood, it's hard to go back.
