I finally get why people rave about the 'show dont tell' rule after watching Jujutsu Kaisen season 2

I overheard a guy at my local comic shop saying that the Kyoto arc dragged because it explained every move through dialogue, but then I binged the Shibuya Incident and realized how much more intense fights hit when they just let the animation and silence do the work, anyone else notice that difference between seasons?

My buddy Dave texted me the other night about this exact thing. He was trying to explain a fight scene from some other show to his girlfriend and kept pausing the episode to narrate what every punch meant. She got bored and started scrolling her phone. Then he put on Shibuya and just let it play, no commentary. She sat there completely quiet for like ten minutes and then asked if the main character was dead because the silence was so heavy. Dave said that's when it clicked for him too. Sometimes you just gotta let the pictures do the talking.
