Just found out how many frames are in a single anime episode
Was reading an old interview with a Sunrise studio animator. They said a standard 24 minute episode uses about 30,000 individual drawings. That's insane. I always thought it was way less. Found it on a deep dive blog about 90s production costs. Anyone know how that number compares to modern shows?
lol "absolutely wild" is right. What worked for me was just breaking it down into smaller chunks each day instead of staring at the whole number. Made it way less scary.
