Ever have that moment where a kid points out something obvious that just breaks your brain? I started a "weird anime Wednesday" thread where we all post one off-the-wall pick, and it actually got people talking about stuff like Planetes and Kino's Journey.

Your brother has a point, but those popular shows are popular for a reason. They're just a good starting point for new people.

Had the same reaction honestly, used to just watch whatever was trending and call it a day. But trying those niche picks your brother mentioned opened up so many cool hidden gems I'd been sleeping on.
