Subbed vs Dubbed isn't even a debate for newer shows

Everyone acts like dubs have caught up in quality, but I tried the latest season of that big action anime on Crunchyroll in English and the lip sync was off by half a second the whole episode. The subtitled version had way more natural emotion in the voices... has anyone else noticed dubs still can't get the timing right?

Watched a dubbed romance last week where mouths were still moving after the line ended, drives me nuts.

Wait, 3 seconds off is wild. How do they mess that up?
