That dub vs sub argument at the shop made me rethink my whole take

I was grabbing milk at the 7-Eleven on 4th Ave last night and heard two guys arguing about whether dub catches or sub text is the real way to watch. One said dubs lose all the original acting, the other said they can't read fast enough to get the jokes. It made me realize I've been judging people for liking dubs when really I just grew up on subs and never questioned it. Anyone else flip their stance on this after hearing someone else's reason, or is this just a forever split?

Figured out the real split is just who gets to watch with their eyes closed during action scenes. Subs force you to pay attention the whole time, dubs let you zone out and still follow the story.
