That time I swore off dub voice acting and got proven wrong by Fullmetal Alchemist

I used to be that guy who only watched subbed anime, you know? Thought dubs were always trash and ruined the original feel. Then my friend forced me to watch the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood dub last year after I lost a bet (football related, long story). I was ready to hate it but the voice for Edward Elric hooked me in like 10 minutes. The tone fit so perfect especially his yelling scenes (which is a lot of the show). By episode 6 I actually forgot I was watching a dub at all. Now I'm wondering if I've been missing out on other quality dubs this whole time. Has anyone else had a similar switch up with a specific show's dub? I need recommendations for ones that are actually worth it.

Haha you lost a football bet and ended up becoming a dub fan, thats a plot twist worthy of an anime itself! Vic Mignogna as Ed was seriously perfect though, the guy poured his whole soul into those yelling parts. You should check out Cowboy Bebop's dub too, its basically legendary at this point and the voice for Spike is just smooth as butter. Theres also the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist dub which holds up great if you want more of that same energy. Once you crack open one good dub its a slippery slope my friend, next thing you know youll be defending the Ghost Stories english dub which is a whole different kind of masterpiece.

Wait, didn't Vic Mignogna actually voice Edward in the 2003 FMA dub too? I thought he was in both versions.
