Watched 60 episodes of filler on 2x speed just to see if it mattered

Last month I decided to catch up on a long-running shonen I'd skipped for years. Everyone said the filler was skippable but I'm a completionist, so I powered through about 60 episodes at 2x speed over two weekends. Took notes in a spreadsheet, tracked every new character or plot point that actually got referenced later. Result: 4 things mattered, and 2 of those were just callbacks to a beach episode. I could have saved 14 hours and missed nothing. Now I'm wondering if I should just accept that anime recaps exist for this exact reason, or if I'm the only one who feels weird skipping episodes even when they're clearly padding. Anyone else keep a filler list handy or do you all just skip without guilt?

Keeping a spreadsheet to track filler is a lot of work for a cartoon, my guy. Just skip the episodes and move on with your life.
