Picked a handsaw over a chainsaw for that big maple removal. No regrets.

Homeowner wanted me to fire up the chainsaw for a 30 inch maple in their backyard. Tight spot near a fence. I told them no, grabbed my Silky Zubat instead. Took me maybe 45 minutes longer. But zero risk of kicking into their patio door. Less noise too. They watched the whole thing and thanked me after. Anyone else ditch power tools for hand tools on certain jobs?

Ever have one of those days where you realize you're not as young as you used to be? I spent an extra hour on a cottonwood removal last spring because I refused to use the chainsaw near a birdhouse. My back reminded me for a week. But honestly, I'd rather be sore from slow, careful work than from explaining to a customer why their window is now in pieces. Sometimes the pride in a clean job is worth the extra sweat.
