Shoutout to that rental lot in Nashville for saving my rear on a failed stump grinder
After my own machine threw a belt on a Friday afternoon, I grabbed a rental from B&B Equipment and finished the job by 6 PM, anyone else keep a backup plan like that on speed dial?

Held onto my old towable stump grinder for years after I upgraded to a tracked one. When my new machine's hydraulic hose blew last summer, I had that old grinder hitched up and running in 20 minutes. Ugly as sin and slow as molasses but it got me through three more jobs that weekend. Now I keep both on the lot and a spare set of belts and hoses in the truck. Never hurts to have a backup that you know inside and out.

@palmer.jana absolutely right, I keep a spare trailer hitch in my truck for the same reason.
