Interesting! I had a similar thing happen when I started paying attention to how old farm laborers stood in historic photos. That straight back, weight evenly on both feet thing isn't natural at first, but you're right, it takes the pressure off. I found it really helped to focus on keeping my shoulders stacked over my hips. It stops you from slumping into your lower back after a few hours. Glad it's working for you too.
