That affordable ground penetrating radar rental cost me $900 and zero results
I rented a GPR unit from a local supplier for a dig site near Tucson and it gave nothing but false positives for 3 days. Has anyone else had better luck with older magnetic survey gear over these cheaper GPR units?

Man I heard someone say the cheaper GPR units are basically just metal detectors with extra steps. A buddy of mine swears by the old magnetic survey gear for dry ground like Tucson, says it's way more reliable. Might be worth tracking down a used one instead of renting that junk again.
