Vent: Manual mapping on my first dig seems so dated now

We sketched everything by hand in the field. Took ages. Now they use 3D scanners for instant models. Makes me miss the dirt under my nails though.

Totally get what you mean about earning blisters, @rubywalker! Nothing beats learning something the slow, hard way where you actually remember it. These shortcuts just don't build the same skills.
