My aunt almost ruined her oil painting with one cheap mistake, please check your supplies
My aunt Carol was finishing a portrait of her dog in her garage studio in Dayton last weekend when her canvas started cracking right along the nose. She had grabbed a bottle of hardware store turpentine from the garage shelf instead of artist grade thinner, and the paint never bonded right to the layer under it. How do you all store your solvents so this does not happen to you?
