A nurse told me to ask for the itemized bill, and it cut $900 off my ER visit

I went to the ER in Boise last month for a sprained ankle and the first bill came out to $2,400. My sister is a nurse and said to call billing and ask for a line by line breakdown, so I did, and about $900 of it was stuff I never got like a second X-ray and some tray fee. Has anyone else done this and gotten a real answer about what those mystery charges even are?
