A stranger on the bus told me to ask my dad one medical question, and now I can't stop thinking about it
I was riding the 4 bus downtown last Tuesday when an older guy next to me started talking about his brother who passed away in March. He said the doctors kept treating him for one thing when the real issue was a medication mix-up that nobody caught for 7 weeks. He told me to ask my dad who writes down his pill list and who checks it, because half the time it's nobody. I called my dad that night and he couldn't name 3 of the 6 things he takes. Now I keep wondering how many families are just guessing. Has anyone here had a doctor or nurse actually sit down and go through every prescription with you or a parent?
