DAE think cash is actually way better than card for budgeting?

I started using cash again three weeks ago after I spent $80 on takeout in one weekend without even realizing it. Honestly, when I have to physically hand over bills at the register, I think twice before buying stuff. My friends all say cards are more convenient and they track spending, but I've saved about $120 this month by just using a jar system at home. Anyone else find that plastic makes you spend more than paper does?

yeah but i gotta disagree hard here. cards literally have fraud protection so if you lose your wallet or your card gets skimmed you get every cent back. cash is gone forever if you lose it or someone steals it. plus those apps like mint or ynab track every single purchase automatically so you can see exactly where your money went instead of guessing based on sticky notes and envelopes.
