Hit 40,000 miles on my odometer and I felt nothing

Drove a 2012 Civic since new, always tracked the mileage like it mattered. When it rolled past 40,000 last Tuesday on I-90 near Cleveland, I just kept driving. No celebration, no sadness. I guess I assumed some milestone would feel different, but it was just another exit ramp. Has anyone else had a number you built up in your head turn out to be totally flat when you actually got there?
