Hitched a ride with a trucker from Omaha who swore by his CB radio for traffic alerts, thought it was old school nonsense until he dodged three jams in a row using chatter from guys 10 miles ahead

He pulled over at a rest stop in Iowa and showed me the squelch knob and how to pick a channel, and I was legit shocked how accurate their calls were about a crash on I-80, has anyone else had a random stranger prove a tool you dismissed was actually gold?

Bet on it being just old dudes with too much time on their hands, not some secret highway network. A broken clock is right twice a day, three jams don't prove much.
