That $45 parking garage "express" pass in Seattle was a total scam
Paid extra for the supposed fast lane at the 5th Ave garage and sat behind 12 cars for 20 minutes while the regular line moved fine. Has anyone else fallen for these 'premium' parking add-ons, or is there a city where they actually work?

Wait, is it possible you just got unlucky with the timing, cause I've used that exact same express pass at 5th Ave for years and it's saved me on game days and before concerts, every single time? The regular line backs up all the way to the street when there's an event, but the express lane always moves, and I've never waited more than five minutes in it. Maybe the issue is that you went at a weird off-peak hour where the regular line was short anyway, and the express lane just happened to have a big group of cars, that's not the system's fault. Honestly, I think the real scam is paying for standard parking downtown at all, but the express add-on is the one thing that actually works for me, and I'd pay it again tomorrow.
