Bought a $900 espresso machine, now I'm stuck with it

I dropped $900 on a fancy espresso machine last November because I was sick of $7 lattes, and it took me 3 weeks and a bag of burnt beans to get a decent shot. The thing has a steam wand that scalds milk unless you angle it exactly right, and the grinder clogs if you don't use their specific beans. Has anyone else sunk big money into a kitchen gadget that turned out to be a daily chore instead of a treat?
