Can we talk about the $1 clearance bin at the hardware store on 5th?

I figured that bin was just junk nobody wanted, bent screws and single hinges and stuff, so I walked past it for 2 years. Last month I dug through it out of boredom and pulled out a small clamp for a buck that now holds my whole drill press table steady. I went back the next week and grabbed 6 more of them, same brand, and the guy at the register said nobody ever checks that bin. Now I stop there every Friday after work and I have a drawer full of clamps that cost me less than one new one would. What random bin or shelf do you always walk past and should probably check?
