PSA: Got locked out of my car in Tucson at 3 AM and had to decide between a locksmith or breaking the window

I was parked at a gas station on Speedway after a late night drive and my keys fell into a storm drain, so I called two locksmiths who quoted $200 and 45 minutes wait versus smashing my own rear window for $150 and 5 minutes - which side would you pick in that spot?

$200 and 45 minutes at 3AM? That's a hard pass. Hope you already had a plunger to fix that rear window cause that's a weirdly specific number you picked.

My buddy tried something like this last summer, thought he was saving money by hiring some random dude off Craigslist at 2AM to fix his busted tail light. Dude showed up, took the cash, then his "fix" was just duct tape and a garbage bag that fell off before my friend even got to the highway. Ended up paying triple at a legit shop the next day.
