Reading at night improved my sleep, but I don't do it every day. How can I keep it up?
I began reading for 20 minutes before turning off the light each night. It helps me relax and drift off quicker. For example, one evening I skipped it and lay awake for a long time. That proved to me it makes a difference. Still, on some days I forget or pick my phone instead. I'd like this to become a normal part of my evening without it feeling like a chore. What tricks do you use to stick with a simple nightly activity?

What book are you on right now? I keep my book on my pillow, so I see it before my phone. Idk, maybe it's just me but out of sight, out of mind works the other way too.

Yeah, the "out of sight, out of mind" thing is huge. I took it further and started putting my book right on top of my phone charger. If I want to plug my phone in for the night, I have to move the book first. That tiny moment of touching the book makes me way more likely to just pick it up and read a page. Another spot is blocking the remote control on the couch. It turns the book into the thing you have to deal with to get to the distraction.
