TIL a better way to find answers in old forum threads

I used to just scroll through pages of posts looking for a solution, which took forever. Last month, I started using the site-specific search on Stack Overflow by adding 'site:stackoverflow.com' to my Google query. It pulled up a 2018 thread about Python list errors in seconds. Has anyone else found a faster search trick for tech forums?

Took forever" is such a mood, honestly.

4 hours later and I'm still here instead of doing my actual job. @hugo_hayes nailed it though, "reddit" is basically the cheat code for the whole internet now.

Feel like we're all just rediscovering basic search skills. Same thing happened to me with adding "reddit" to Google queries, cuts through the SEO blog spam instantly.
