Used to hate morning walks until I saw my bloodwork numbers

My doctor said my resting heart rate was 78 BPM and my glucose was creeping up. I laughed it off. Three months later I started walking 20 minutes before work. Just that. Nothing else. Now my resting heart rate dropped to 63 and glucose is normal. Has anyone else had simple habits flip their lab results like that?

Wait... 78 to 63 from just walking? That's wild actually. I would've thought you'd need something way harder to move those numbers that much.

Heard a doctor on a podcast talking about this. Said something like walking is actually way more efficient for your body than running when it comes to blood sugar. The gentle movement lets your muscles soak up glucose without triggering a stress response. Kind of makes sense when you think about it, since your body doesn't have to work as hard to recover from walking. Have you noticed any other numbers changing since you started?
