Just realized I've taken 1,000 photos of the moon this year alone

I was cleaning out my hard drive last night and noticed a folder called 'moon shots' with 1,002 files in it. That's almost 3 pictures every single day since January. It started as a boring lockdown hobby but now I'm obsessed with catching the exact moment when craters pop out near the terminator line. Has anyone else accidentally built a massive collection of just one thing?

My buddy @owens.willow might joke about phone storage but ive got a whole external hard drive just for moon pics now. The real trick is learning the phases so you know when the terminator line is actually gonna look good. I started noting down the exact time of moonrise and setting a reminder on my phone. Now Ive got 342 shots from january alone and thats not even counting the cloudy night failures.
