My buddy in Denver told me my star trails were 'too perfect' and looked fake
He said the trails were so smooth they lost the feel of real sky movement, so I started adding a bit of random drift back in during stacking. How do you balance clean processing with keeping a natural look?

Modern life" just means we traded real problems for a constant low-grade panic about things that don't really matter.
