Pro tip: that $30 moon filter was the best thing I bought
I kept getting blinded by the full moon through my 8 inch dob, so I grabbed a cheap neutral density filter for like 30 bucks. It made craters pop way more than I expected, no more squinting. Anyone else run one or do you just let the brightness wash out the view?

Moon filters are cool but honestly I just wear my sunglasses under the eyepiece sometimes, works fine.
