Stacking 200 frames beat my single 30-second shot by a mile

I finally compared my single long exposure of Orion with a stacked result from the same night, same scope, and the difference was honestly shocking. The stacked version had way less noise and the nebula shape actually looked like the photos I see posted here, not a blurry smudge. I used DeepSkyStacker for the first time after 3 tries getting the settings right, and it took maybe 10 minutes total once I figured out the star alignment. Anyone else have a moment where stacking made them feel like they wasted months on single shots?

Buddy swore off single shots forever after seeing his first stack.
