Finally got the right carb kit for my old Polaris, cost me about $85 but it starts on the first pull now.

Worth every penny for that first-pull start.

yeah man that first pull start feeling is unreal. i had an old toro snowblower that would only start after like 50 yanks and a prayer. finally broke down and spent $60 on a new carb kit and fresh fuel lines. popped it on one afternoon, next morning went out in the snow and it fired up on the very first pull. i actually laughed out loud. that's the kind of fix that makes you feel like you just beat the system. eighty five bucks is a steal when you think about how much time and anger it saves you over the winter.

Watching stuff just work after you fix the small, specific thing is the best feeling. It's like when @keithbennett gets his old truck to shift smooth after replacing one bushing, or my coffee maker stops leaking with a new gasket. That eighty-five bucks buys way more than a carb kit, it buys back your whole morning without the swearing and yanking. Modern life is full of little breakdowns, and solving one cleanly feels like a tiny victory over the chaos.
