Hot take: I bought a cheap winch for my Polaris and it cost me a full day in the snow.
Got a 'Tuff Stuff' 2500 lb winch for about $150 last fall, figured it would be fine for light pulls. The cable frayed on the second use trying to get unstuck near Lake Tahoe, and the motor burned out trying to spool it back in. Ended up waiting 4 hours for a buddy to come pull me out. Anyone have a winch brand they actually trust that won't quit when you need it?
