I finally gave up on my old two stroke after talking to my neighbor

He saw me fighting with it again in the driveway and said, 'You know, that thing is costing you more in time and frustration than a newer used sled would.' I realized I've spent over 15 hours this winter just trying to get it to start right. What's a good four stroke model to look for under $5,000?

Man, your neighbor is right. For under five grand, you should be looking at older Yamaha Phazers or maybe an Arctic Cat ZR 5000. The four-stroke motors in those are basically bulletproof if they've had basic care. Just make sure you check the track and suspension for dry rot.
