Spent $260 on a winch for my 2016 Foreman and it paid for itself in one afternoon
Got my Foreman stuck in a clay pit near the river last fall and spent 3 hours digging it out with a shovel while my buddy just laughed. So I dropped $260 on a Warn winch the next week, which felt like a lot for something I might never use. Two weekends later my cousin buried his RZR up to the fenders in the same spot and I had him out in about 4 minutes. Now I won't ride with anyone who doesn't have a recovery plan, has anyone else had a winch totally change how they ride?
Wait, you paid TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY BUCKS for a winch and thought that was too much? That is nothing compared to the back pain and wasted hours you save. My brother in law dropped almost a grand on his setup and still says it was the best money he ever spent on his machine. Three hours of shoveling clay in the cold would have had me selling the four wheeler, not buying a winch. Four minutes to yank a RZR out of the mud is straight up magic. I will never ride without one again either, lesson learned the hard way just like you.
