That fancy tow strap I bought on Amazon snapped on my third pull
I spent $45 on a 30 foot tow strap with reinforced loops, figured it was a good deal. Used it to yank a buddy's stuck Polaris out of a mud hole last weekend and it tore clean through on the third pull. Now I'm out the money and we had to dig him out with shovels instead. Anyone else had luck with a specific brand of recovery strap that actually holds up?

Yank straps, not tow straps. Big difference in how they handle shock loads.

$45 for a piece of Amazon rope that gives up after three pulls sounds about right, guess it was designed for towing a plastic lawn wagon instead of a Polaris. @wesley_fox92 is spot on about the "yank" vs "tow" thing, I learned that the hard way when my "heavy duty" strap turned into a frayed shoelace. Now I just carry a chain and a come-along in the truck, because mud doesn't care about your fancy Amazon reviews.
