A customer's comment about my old spray booth made me stop and think

I was finishing a clear coat on a 2018 Honda Civic yesterday when the owner came in early. He said, 'Man, your booth is cleaner than my kitchen.' We got talking and he told me his last repair had dust nibs all over it from a dirty shop. It hit me that I've been so focused on the big tools I let my booth filter changes slide. I used to swap them every 50 jobs, but I realized it's been closer to 80. That small talk cost me an extra 30 minutes of sanding and buffing today. How often do you guys actually change your intake filters to keep the finish right?

Funny how the small stuff you let slide always ends up costing more time later.

Truer words never spoken... it's always the tiny leak that sinks the ship. Pay now or pay double later.
